South Asian Journal of Participative Development: SAJPD is the Research and Development oriented, peer reviewed, refereed, Bi-annual Periodical published with ISSN No. 0976 2701 by the Centre for Social Research and Development (CSRD), Pune. The journal is a multi-disciplinary and covers the south Asian countries for its circulation and as well as its academic and professional contribution. It has completed its Eighteen years of service.
Coverage/Contents:
The journal upholds the high quality of research in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary areas of Social Sciences and other related areas. It creates a common platform for the academicians and field practitioners from Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Economics, Rural Development, Women’s Studies, Social Work, Education, Environmental Studies, Health Sciences, Management Education, and Development Studies. with a participatory approach for participatory development.
It publishes the Scholarly Original Articles, Research Papers, Brief reports of seminars and conferences, Case Studies, Book Reviews, NGOs’ Profiles.
Aim of the Journal:
The journal aims to develop the academic networking of the South Asian Countries with multidisciplinary approach. Its aim is to create a common platform for the academicians, field practitioners and development activists in the region of South Asia for sharing and exchanging the information and knowledge that will be used for the long lasting development. The journal seeks to create the indigenous literature and go further with documentation and dissemination of information and knowledge. The very end purpose of the journal is to create a knowledge society that will sustain for the longer period and will help the human being to lead their life with prosperity and dignity.
Goal of the Journal:
The goal of the South Asian Journal is the documentation and dissemination of the indigenous information and knowledge in the field of social sciences through the involvement of the academicians, field practitioners and development activists representing the South Asian Countries. Its major goal is to create a platform of all those knowledgeable people concerned with the multi-facet development of the Indian Society in particular and South Asian Region in general.
Periodicity and Language:
- It is published Biannually on 30th June and 30th December of every year.
- The journal is published in English language.
Book Reviews:
Authors/ Editors of the book or the concerned publishers need to send a copy of the book for review to the Chief Editor of the journal. The editorial committee will assign the task of review to the academicians that are on the list of the journal. The reviewer and the authors will get a complimentary copy of the journal in which their book is reviewed. Ideally the review will not exceed 2-3 pages of A/4 size
NGO Profile:
The field practitioners, academicians or the management of the NGOs may submit a brief profile of the leading NGOs who have made the significant contributions in their respective field. Photographs and individual names of the founders etc are not included in the profile. It is expected to write the profile in 2-3 pages of A/4 size.
